Spank Bingo: An Idea is Born
I was really torn as it came time to start my fourth year of teaching. On the one hand, I did enjoy teaching math and had planned to be a math teacher from the start. On the other hand, I’d found I enjoyed being a coach, especially once I started coaching the soccer teams, and was going to miss the coaching-- and not just for the naked boys (though that was a lot of it). On the third hand (wait, what? Never mind, you know what I mean), my first week of in-service came barely two months after I’d finally opened Magicats. I had help to run it and knew how things were going to go, but it was going to mean a lot of hours and a lot of extra work. Top all that off with the fact that they’d convinced me to be the ‘temporary’ department head (which meant a little more pay and a lot more work), and I wasn’t going into this in the best frame of mind.
Still, teaching was supposed to pay the bills while I got the store up and running. The store was making enough money to pay its bills and let me expand a bit each month, but hardly enough for me to live from. Whether I was looking forward to it or not, I had to do it.
I knew that part of my problem would be solved once school started. The nice thing about middle school is (for my tastes, anyway), even the oldest students are still young and have a good chance of being cute, while even the youngest are old enough to take care of themselves to a certain extent. Plus, even without coaching gym, I was sure I’d have some occasions to use the paddle.
That’s when the key to really revving up my anticipation occurred to me. I designed a game.
I’ve always enjoyed talking about spanking. As far back as second grade, I remember talking to other boys, trying to find out details of how they were spanked. Of course, back then, I’m pretty sure I’d never even heard the word subtle, much less knew what it meant or had any idea that it was something I should try to be. "Hey, Eric, how do you get spanked?" was pretty much my idea of the way to introduce the subject. (And back then, there was no thought of asking IF someone got spanked -- everyone did back then, at least occasionally).
As I got older, I had an instinctive understanding that the subject was somewhat taboo. I still talked to kids about it, but really only to friends or if the subject came up in some way. There were some kids in my fifth grade class whom I knew in detail how they were spanked, while others, despite my burning desire, I had no idea.
As time went on, the subject became more tender and the chances to discuss it less. It did work its way into games. ‘Making’ someone talk about how they got spanked became a way to embarrass them, a useful default in the right company. By the mid-teens, even that was gone. Of course, I was also much more interested in sex than spanking at that time, not quite having linked the two of them.
Something interesting happened about that time in my life though. At sixteen, I was old enough to drive and had started babysitting, first just my little brothers, then the occasional other kid. With my little brothers, I was around often enough to get to know their friends. Mike, Jason, and Ben were nine, eight, and seven years old back then. The same age I’d been when spanking had been such a fascinating subject. And now, I was sometimes able to get these little guys to discuss it. For their part, they still had the same fascination that many boys had had when I was that age; plus, they seemed to enjoy having the attention of an older boy for a while.
When I began babysitting, I found another way to get the details. "Hey! Didn’t I tell you not to do that? What’s your dad going to do if I tell him you weren’t minding? Oh yeah? How does he spank you?"
It was a rather blunt technique, but it worked. Over the years, as my brothers and their friends grew up, as I worked at the comic store, then the convenience store, and finally began to teach, I knew more and more boys and learned to read and understand them. I finally not only knew what ’subtle’ meant, I began to use it.
While teaching, I’d heard more than a couple of stories about how kids got spanked at home. And that gave me my idea. I might not be able to see naked boys running around every day; I might lose some chances to spank them; but I could still hear the stories. And to make the stories more fun, I invented Spank Bingo.
The actual idea took a little work, but I finally came up with the right combination of ideas. I took a typical bingo scorecard, five squares by five squares, and would insert different methods of spanking into each square. The idea would be to hear a story from a boy that matched the details in a square, then I got to mark that square off. Could I hear enough stories in one year to get bingo (one row all the way across)?
The first hurdle was deciding what to put on the card. After all, there are hundreds, possibly thousands, of ways a boy can get spanked. Think about just the way he’s dressed alone: fully clothed, pants down, pants off, stripped to underwear, pants and underwear down, pants off and underwear down, stripped to underwear and those pulled down, pants and underwear off, naked, pajamas, gym shorts, jock strap are all possibilities (and I think I’ve used all of them at one time or another), and that’s twelve right there. How many implements, positions, places, spankers, and other variations can you think of?
I finally decided to narrow it down to what seemed the major variations. It doesn’t matter if your pants and underwear are down or you have to get ready for bed, then your underwear are pulled down, they’re both bare. I ended up going with spanker (mom or dad), dress, and implement, with a few variations. That was still more than twenty-five, so I cut up pieces of paper, put the possibilities onto each square, and threw them in a little box. I then drew, and put them on the card in the order I drew. (It wasn’t quite even, since I weighted it towards Dad on the pieces, but that’s just my preference). This is what I ended up with.
